The very first word is how do you do? The last whole word is your Momma's callin' you......


Can you understand how strange it is to go from "Cosmic Charlie" to "I Am A Rock" without missing a beat or derailing the train of thought? I can, and do. Quietly often throughout each day. I listen to ESPN radio sometimes then switch over to Switchfoot tunes. Sometimes I listen to Rush beat a dead horse (usually as much as ten to fifteen seconds) then switch to Rush and listen to a man that knows how to beat a drum. I can watch Leslie Nielson and listen to Leslie West, though I must admit I'd rather go West.

Who knows? Some day I might just go on a Nantucket Sleighride one winter.

I am a Deadhead (of a sort) that looks for the teachings of Christ in the unlikely of places. Just a hint, if you look for Satan anywhere, you will find him also. We are so willing to be deceived and yet so leery of truth.

Seek Truth in all things, but be sure you know how to recognize it.
It often can be a hard pill to swallow.

You may have notice

You may have notice that my blogs are more sporadic than in times past. Such is life. My health has been also. As has my former job. I am now "officially", though possibly not legally excessed and my job as an electronics tech at the USPS is gone. Of course, I have had no real job there for several months now as Alexandria is no longer an active processing site. Still the day goes by and I serve as an acting maintenance manager/maintenance clerk/ whatever it takes to get the job done. At least, for now, though this may change soon. I just don't know and as I have no experience job hunting I am clueless about what to do next. (I have had only 2 jobs my whole adult life, USN 22 yrs and USPS 18 yrs this July). I am just really glad I am not a politician.

Sittin' 'n' waitin'

Yep, sitting here waiting for the storm to blow through. Should be in about 30 minutes or so. 30mph front pushing through but will probably last less than an hour. Wish Scotty would show up and beam me to a beach somewhere. Guess I'd better call Louis and get my John Fred request in.....
